Meet Carole, the heart and soul of Lowton Equine Rehabilitation. With years of experience in equine care and a deep passion for horse welfare, Carole leads our team in delivering top-quality rehabilitation services. Her commitment to individualise care, combined with extensive knowledge of equine health, ensures that every horse receives the attention and treatment they deserve. Carole believes that the key to a horse's successful recovery lies in understanding their unique needs and nurturing their potential through every phase of rehabilitation.
Her main areas of interest include: correct classical/ biomechanical training for soundness - she has a passion for all things Iberian, rehabilitation of catastrophic injuries - the more graphic the better, and treating to enhance performance of elite sports horses.
In addition to the chiropractic qualifications she also holds

Carole first qualified as a McTimoney Animal Chiropractor over 10 years ago and since then has dedicated her life to learning as much about horses as she can. Carole has several of her own horses, many of which have arrived at her yard needing her help.

Carole feels very lucky that her job allows her to work at both ends of the spectrum; from horses being discharged from hospital with very poor or guarded prognosis, to attending events with her sports horse customers.
Prior to running her own yards Carole spent many years grooming to national and international level in dressage, eventing and showing.

Kelsey
Kelsey-sky joined us to complete her level 2 apprenticeship in horse care. She completes this soon but will stay on part time/ ad hoc days.
She has the kindest, most gentle way with the horses and they all really warm to her. She is also lightweight enough for any small ponies that come in but not afraid to handle the big competition horses. Outside of work Kelsey has her own horse that she rides regularly and enjoys attending Young Farmers events.
Jazz
Jazz has just finished her NVQ level 2 whilst working full time for us and has now returned to college but remains part time. At home Jazz has her own pony who is now elderly and has also been helping out at a local riding school. Jazz would like to do veterinary nursing or physio eventually
Flo
Hi, I’m Flo Collins, a dedicated veterinary physiotherapist with a First Class Honors degree from Harper Adams University. With a lifelong love for animals I’ve made it my mission to help them live healthier, more mobile lives through physiotherapy and hydrotherapy.
My journey into veterinary physiotherapy started when I saw my elderly dog struggle with mobility issues, sparking a desire to help animals in need. I worked hard to secure a place at university, where I gained invaluable hands-on experience during six-month placements at both Lowton Equine Rehabilitation and Pool4Paws Rehabilitation Centre. Learning from more experienced therapists during these placements deepened my knowledge and skill set, and I’m grateful to still be working at both locations today.
I currently specialise in canine hydrotherapy and physiotherapy at Pool4Paws, while also providing locum services at other practices, such as St. Boniface Vets Rehabilitation Centre. In addition, I cover equine hydrotherapy at Lowton Equine Rehabilitation on Thursdays, where I focus on helping horses move correctly and achieve the best possible outcomes during their treatments.
My personal experience rehabbing my own Thoroughbred from kissing spines further deepened my passion for conservative management and correct biomechanics, knowledge that I now apply in my day-to-day work with equine and canine patients alike.
