Kai the ex-racehorse got his leg caught in some fencing in September 2022. The wound was down to the bone although fortunately the joint was unaffected. In the following weeks the wound was debrided several times by the vet as proud flesh developed.
We started treating with the Indiba as an outpatient in January 2022. At this point the wound was well over 1.5-inch diameter and the full width of the limb. Treatments were once weekly, or once a fortnight depending on availability. The final picture was taken in March 2022. No further veterinary intervention was necessary once treatment started. Kai returned to competition shortly after.
